The transition from high school to college should be one of excitement and great joy. Any high school graduate who plans to attend college should do so the year after his graduation. If he decides against an immediate higher education and gets a fulltime job for a year, he may later find that this could be a huge error. He may continue to put his plans off year after year until he believes he is too old to attend college. Even worse, he may be disillusioned by the "real" world and forget about his college education altogether. A work experience is also very beneficial for teenagers because it allows them to meet prospective employers and to deal with current issue; they give students ideal preparation and training to enter research careers. On the material side, a year of working allows you to save money for university and gives you a break from academic world. But there are some schools that allow you to study and to work in the same time. Working students can be categorized into two groups: those who primarily identify themselves as students but who work in order to pay the bills, and those who are first and foremost workers who also take some college classes. Almost two-thirds of undergraduates who work consider themselves "students who work"; the other third consider themselves "workers who study.” In conclusion, working before deciding your career is beneficial, but we must not forget that studying is the key to a good job.
